AUAR 2025 Year In Review

I always say at All Hands that one month at Automated Architecture feels like 15 years. 2025 TL;DR: We went live in the US, proved real-world repeatability, and made the biggest call we’ve made to date: in Q3 we went all-in on the next version of our Micro-Factory.

What that actually looked like:

🏃‍♀️ Real shipping velocity

• 150 hardware features developed, tested, and deployed in 4 months across our existing Micro-Factories
• 400+ commits to robot codebase (programs, toolpaths, sequencing) over the same period
• FactoryApp launched so operators can run production with 0 robotics knowledge

🛠️ Proved deployment is really, really real (and hard)

• 2 Micro-Factories handed over at Rival
• Autonomous production underway at Rival
• Designed for US timber reality, now reliably running production on Southern Yellow Pine… once you can handle that level of variability, everything else gets easier… IYKYK)

🎯 Ruthless focus paid off

• Scoped, designed, and started building our next-gen Micro-Factory in 1 quarter
• Alpha is being built right now, with first test production runs starting 13 January
• This version is a step-change: large panels up to 6.2m, including openings & true pop-up deployment with the whole system pre-installed on a chassis & supporting both on-site & off-site manufacturing

⚡ Software sped up

• MasterBuilder produces robot-ready designs in <4 hours (380% faster QoQ)

🌍 GTM signal strengthened

• Hosted the Rival x AUAR x Housing Innovation Alliance, LLC event (45+ senior leaders, >50% of US market represented)
• Dozens of companies signed up as product feedback partners
• First Canadian channel partner (stay tuned 🤫 )
• Delivered foundational work for mid-rise timber housing, backed by an Innovate UK Smart Grant with incredible partners Waugh Thistleton Architects Gardiner & Theobald LLC Edinburgh Napier University Jensen Hughes

🏗️ Team & space scaled

• Moved into a 10,000+ sq ft HQ for R&D and Micro-Factory builds
• Team growth across product, ops, and design (and more joining in January)

2025 wasn’t about doing more. It was about doing the right thing, faster.

In 2026 we’re publicly opening sales on our next Micro-Factory in Q1 (started invite-only in Q4), doubling down on usage and customer success, and making sure what we deploy delivers value, day in, day out. Want in? Let’s chat 🫡
