MicroFactory

MicroFactory

Factory output without factory risk

  • 0 UPFRONT CAPEX All the benefits of automation, without having to own the equipment. No factory build-out. No equipment purchase. No capital tied up.

  • DEPLOY IN HOURS Our MicroFactory is set up on site in under 4 hours and produces the core and shell of a typical home in under a day.

  • DON’T SHIP AIR Panels are manufactured on or near your job site — not trucked across states.

Factory Output Without Factory Risk

FAQs

Have a question? Here’s some frequent ones.

What do you mean by “0 CapEx”. Who owns the Micro-Factory and how do payments work?

You don’t buy the equipment. Instead, you pay per square foot (or square metre) of panels produced. To secure a Micro-Factory for your project, we take a small upfront commitment. This is then credited against production during your build.

Do we need to know anything about robots?

No. You don’t need any robotics knowledge or specialist staff. AUAR handles setup, operation, and day-to-day running of the Micro-Factory.

How quickly can a MicroFactory be deployed and start producing panels?

We always have a Micro-Factory ready to ship. In Europe, lead time is around 1 week. In the US, lead time is between 4 and 6 weeks dependent on location. On-site we can get up and running in under <4 hours.

What do you need from us on-site to run it?

Space:
The Micro-Factory comes in a 40 x 12 x 8 foot shipping container. You need a clear area for the container plus space for material infeed, outfeed and panel handling.

Ground:
The Micro-Factory needs a hard packed surface such as compressed gravel as a minimum. For larger sites with a longer lifetime, a temporary concrete slab can be considered. The entrance to and from the Micro-Factory requires a trackpad to avoid tracking in dirt.

Power:
The Micro-Factory can be powered by a generator or 3-phase power in a facility but otherwise, we require basic site power.

Access + Handling:
Clear access for a delivery truck, and a forklift or equivalent lifting plan for unloading and moving packs and finished panels.

People:
AUAR provides a trained operator, so you don’t need to hire or train specialist staff. We deliver completed panel packs that your existing framing crews can install as normal.

Materials:
We help you specify and order the right quantities of timber. The Micro-Factory works with standard framing grades, including SYP, SPF, C14, C16, C24, I-Joists, LVL, LSL or equivalent local alternatives.

What can it actually produce (panel types, sizes, specs). And what can’t it do yet?

Panel sizes:
Up to 22 × 10 ft (approx. 6.7 × 3.10 m).

Wall panels:
Exterior or interior; load-bearing or non-load-bearing; with or without sheathing; with openings for windows and doors as required.

Floor panels:
Cassettes or I-joist systems, including sheathing and LSL/LVL rim beams.

How many panels or homes per week can one Micro-Factory support?

The honest answer is “it depends on shift pattern and panel complexity”, but a typical benchmark is that one Micro-Factory can produce the core and shell for one home in <8 hours. If you run one shift per day, five days a week, you are in the ballpark of ~5 homes per week per Micro-Factory, before you add overtime, second shifts, or multiple Micro-Factories.

How does pricing scale with volume? And what happens if our usage drops?

Pricing scales with your output:
You pay in proportion to what you produce.

Usage-based pricing:
Charged per square foot (or square metre) of panel area produced. No volume tiers or fixed capacity bands.
